Valerie Schwonek Blazey is the daughter of one of the mayor's closest friends. She worked on Perk's Advance Team (1969) and later volunteered in the mayoral campaign.
Judge Raymond L. Pianka was a close friend and political ally of the mayor. He currently serves as a Housing Division judge in the Cleveland Municipal Court.
