Description:  This Green Thumb Club radio program by the Cleveland Public Schools horticulture department was broadcast to familiarize classroom teachers about the different garden kits options that would be offered to students later in the school year. Instructors Mr. Leslie Beamish and Mr. David Forsyth give an overview of the different kits available and remind teachers that all gardens have been on the metric system for several years. Garden kit offerings include: Variety of vegetables, Flower fantasy, Odd spot, Climbing vine, Pots and plants, Garden of greens, Mystery garden and Window sill propagation kit. Quote: "Food for the body; flowers for the soul."

This recording is from the "Green Thumb Club" series of radio horticulture lessons, broadcasted by W.B.O.E., 90.3FM for students in the Cleveland Public Schools Horticulture Program in the 1960's through the 1970's. The recordings were donated to Cleveland State University Library by Dr. Peter J. Wotowiec.
