Description:   A Green Thumb Club radio broadcast for the Cleveland Public Schools Horticulture program. In addition to a lesson about trees during this Arbor Day broadcast, Mr. Tom Gaetano, Cleveland Department of Horticulture, issues a call to third grade students for environmental action: "Join the Environmental Action Club at your school if you are concerned about the environment. You are a V. I. P. when it comes to improving our environment."

This recording is from the "Green Thumb Club" series of radio horticulture lessons, broadcasted by W.B.O.E., 90.3FM for students in the Cleveland Public Schools Horticulture Program in the 1960's through the 1970's. The recordings were donated to Cleveland State University Library by Dr. Peter J. Wotowiec.
