Description: Friday Forum: 2003 Anisfield-Wolf Book Award winner for fiction, Stephen L. Carter, Professor, Yale University, and author of, The Emperor of Ocean Park, is joined by Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Chair, Anisfield-Wolf Book Award.
The Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards were established by Cleveland poet and philanthropist Edith Anisfield Wolf in 1935, in honor of her father, John Anisfield, and husband, Eugene Wolf, to reflect her family’s passion for issues of social justice. Today it remains the only American book prize focusing on works that address racism and diversity.
